A History of Commitment
A History of Service
Heartland Petroleum's path to becoming a full-service petroleum recycling company began in 1948 through the vision of Mr. Rex Snedegar, Sr., who started the family's first used oil collection business in Columbus, Ohio. He built the organization with a sound business philosophy of customer service and eventually expanded the operation to include not only the private sector, but also local, state, and federal government agencies. As the Columbus Metropolitan area grew, the company moved forward to meet the expanding needs of the community. Now, after more than 50 years, Heartland Petroleum still services many of the original clients. Mr. Snedegar always believed that solid family values would support any family-owned operation, and caring for customers as though they were a part of the family would surely breed success. Mr. Snedegar's insight was correct; today's operation employs several third-generation family members.
Today Heartland Petroleum remains a company with strong family involvement. The Management Team of Heartland possesses over 165 years combined experience in the environmental and petroleum industries. This experience will allow Heartland Petroleum to succeed in the ever-changing environmental requirements for proper disposal and recycling.
